Book an Introductory Flight Lesson and take the controls with a Certified Flight Instructor beside you. It is legal because the instructor stays pilot in command on dual controls while you fly. The flight path on an introductory flight is at the discretion of the Certified Flight Instructor at the time of the flight, who takes into account weather, scheduling and airspace requirements. If you would like to fly into New York City airspace around the Statue of Liberty, a Statue of Liberty orbit can be added to your lesson as a paid add-on.
